We spent a few wonderful days in Peru, primarily in and around Cuzco, Machu Pichu and Sacred Valley in February. While the weather was a little rainy at times, we were lucky it did not rain on our two day trips out of Cuzco while at magnificent Machu Pichu and Sacred Valley. All arrangements by Magical Cuzco Tours went like clockwork. Guides and drivers in Cuzco and Lima, where we did an afternoon tour, were entirely professional and yet really personalized to our interests and needs (for instance we are vegetarians so we were taken to a great vegi restaurant in Lima). We stayed at Casa Andina Private Collection Hotel in Cuzco (we chose this) which was beautiful and historic-highly recommended. Thank you for your assistance.

My trip to Peru was magical from my start in Lima with it’s beaches and warm temperatures; especially coming from a foggy valley in California.  In Lima I saw the colonial history of Peru with the clash of cultures.  At the Museum I saw and learned of the historical of record of great civilizations of Peru before the Spanish Conquest.  Plus I eat the wonderful foods and drank the wonderful Peruvian drinks.  Lima has a vibrant night life with cafes and clubs with bright lights and sounds. My guide was wonderful her name was Rosario Olivera, ands she was funny, pleasant, and knowledgeable. The trip to Cusco was through the clouds.  Cusco was a wonderful sight with such colorful clothes; especially, women’s clothing and hats.  Cusco should be visited for many days!  My guide, Victor Hugo, was very knowledgeable and funny, our driver Eduardo was very skilled, funny, and knowledgeable with limited English.  The influence of the Inka’s are everywhere.  The life of the city is different from Lima, the pace is slower and the people are very welcoming!  The Sacred Valley–following the Inka serpent, seeing Inka ruins, temples, villages, vibrant markets of Indian crafts, wonderful foods and drinks, visiting textile factories, and feeling the wools of Vicuna, Guanaco,Alpaca, and LLama wools. I fell inlove with the Inka Heartland! Magical Cusco Tours was on time, courteous, friendly, and provided human guides evrery step of the journey.  I plan on returing to Peru because of Magical Cuzo Tours!!!  Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

Magical Team- Happy New Year to you and yours. Rebecca and I wanted to thank you for helping put together an exhilirating and exhausting honeymoon. We joke that it was an “extreme honeymoon” and it was but in mostly good ways, of course. We ate and drank many exotic and wonderful things for the first time—alpaca steaks that were flavorful and beyond tender. Cuy which was a very adventuresome dish. Chica morada. Lomo Saltado. Ceviche. Causa Limena. Several pisco varieties. Choclo (huge corn cobs). Cocoa tea. Wondrous sights—Cusco, Lima, Nasca Lines, bountiful wildlife of Ballestas Island and Pto. Maldonado. Sacred Valley. Hiking the Inca Trail. Watching Machu Picchu appear out of the mist. And many thanks for the surprise bottle of wine awaiting us at our Lima hotel. Our honeymoon memories will last a lifetime. Magical Team, I can’t begin to tell you what a wonderful time we had on our trip. It was magnificent.  Everything you arranged for us as wonderful.  The hotels were great, everyone who worked at the hotels was great, the guides and drivers were wonderful.  The restaurants were great.  And we could never say enough about Miguel, our driver to the concert, we wouldn’t have seen any of the concert if he hadn’t gone above and beyond the call of duty – he was amazing.  And, it was wonderful that he took us back to the airport Friday night – a fitting way to end the trip. It was so sweet of you to call and check on us in Cusco – we did have varying degrees of altitude sickness symptoms, but nothing that kept us from enjoying the trip.  Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and the journey to get there was absolutely breathtaking. How do you describe perfection…everything was perfect. I had my children and grandchildren with me. All the travel and hotels were lovely and all the planning was exceptional. Everyone was so gracious. Cusco was cold but the service was warm. Machupichu was an experience. It was unbelievable. I had a bit of trouble walking around the entire ruins, but I saw many amazing things. I just can’t get over the experience.

Hi Brian!!! We just got back from our Inca trail trip yesterday and I wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous time!  All I have is compliments for the staff, our group and the trip itself.  The people were just wonderful.  They were all so hardworking (especially the porters) and eager to please.  As for the trip, the trail and journey itself definitely rivaled the splendor of Machu Picchu. Both were stunning.  Admittedly, it was a tough hike, but it was worth every minute of it. On the morning of the second day (the so-called & die; most difficult day & die;) I woke up with a nasty stomach virus. Brian, I thought I was dying.  After throwing up for eight hours, I thought I would have to take a horse back and ride up to Machu Picchu by train.  Erin encouraged me to gut it out and with the patience and help of one of the porters, Emilio, I dragged myself up and down the mountain (passing out and drooling on myself all the way there). However, I made it through the day!  I really couldn’t have done it with out Emilio’s help.  For the rest of the trip I kept telling him, ‘Te amo’. I just wanted to say thanks for everything. The trip was outstanding! Best.
