Iquitos is a warm city with many activities, which seduces its visitors with the happiness and kindness of its people. It is the most important city of the Peruvian Amazon and is located on the banks of the Amazon River. While navigating its waters you will get in direct contact with nature and the natives that live there. Watching the sun setting behind the treetops and marveling at the endless greenery is just a must see. The Amazon is an immense slow moving river, at times almost like an ocean, as at certain points it can reach up to 13 123 feet in which. Its waters receive the outflow of all the rivers rising on the eastern slopes of the Andes, forming swamps, marshes and labyrinthine channels.

DAY 1: Trip to Iquitos
Transfer from Iquitos Airport to embark on a 50-mile journey down the Amazon River to the "Yanamono" Stream where the lodge is located. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walk thru a submerged forest, where during high season; the trip is made in boat as the forest floor is totally under water. At night, after dinner, we will visit the bar "La Tahuampa", and listen to live local music and be enthralled by tales of local Amazon legends told by our guides.

DAY 2: ExplorNapo
After breakfast, you will take a boat ride down the Amazon and up the Napo River to the ExplorNapo Lodge. Afternoon visit to the ReNuPeRu Ethno botanical Garden managed by a local "Shaman". This garden is used to show visitors the rainforest plants used in modern medicine as well as examples of native plant remedies, which may potentially be used in the future. DAY 3: ExplorNapo
Morning hike to the Canopy Walkway, a suspended bridge spanning 500 meters (one-third of a mile) connected by tree platforms and reaching a height of over 35 meters (115 feet) above the ground. Here you will encounter a "bird's eye view" of part of the rainforest rarely seen by man but accessible without any type of climbing skill or equipment.
Afternoon boating excursion along one of the many Napo tributaries spotting along the way birds and sloth. A stop is included for an opportunity to try river fishing with cane poles or for a chance to swim.

These lakes are often covered with giant Victoria Regia water lilies and sometimes offer a glimpse of the elusive Hoatzin bird.
