Inside Peru Journey( 7 Days / 6 Night )
This is a classic itinerary with moderate walking at elevation, followed by a magical journey into Puno. It will take you into the heart of the Inca Empire, exploring the impressive sites of Sacsayhuaman and other sites around the city of Cusco and Ollantaytambo in Sacred Valley of the Incas, before reaching Machu Picchu. You will then continue to the city of Puno, located on the Altiplano, or high plateau, a vast tableland lying at an average altitude of 12,124 ft above sea level and on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. This area is the ancestral territory of the Quechuas, Aymaras, Uros, Pacajes and Puquinas. It was the cradle of one of the most influential pre-Hispanic cultures in the Andes: Tiawanaco. This journey will take you from Cusco to Puno by bus so you can explore picturesque towns of Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, Raya and Pucara.
