Accomodations
Chiclayo Hotels

This program will give you the opportunity to visit Chiclayo know as the "City of Friendship" since the people there are known for their friendliness. You will visit the "Museo de Sipan" which is the most important twentieth century archaeological discovery in Peru and has allowed archeologist to reconstruct the history of the Moche Culture, which dominated the north of Peru before the Incas. The tombs were discovered intact with many silver, gold and copper artifacts. The Lord of Sipan dates from 350BC. This exhibition is permanently based here after a worldwide tour of 16 countries.
You will also visit "Chan Chan" considered the largest city built in mud in the world and is comparable to the archaeological sites in Mexico and Egypt.

DAY 1: Arrival to Chiclayo
We will pick you up at the airport in Chiclayo and transfer to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel we will have a guided City Tour of Chiclayo in which you will Visit The Archaeological complex of Moche and "La Raya" in Tucume. After lunch, we will also visit the Museum of the Royal Tombs of the Lord of Sipan. Overnight in Chiclayo.


DAY 2: Trip to Trujillo & Chan Chan Tour
After breakfast, you will take a 3 hour bus ride to Trujillo. Transfer to the hotel where we will pick you up to have a guided visit to the Archaeological center of the Mochica Culture in the southeast of Trujillo and very near to the town of Moche. There are two important sites to visit: The "Huaca del Sol" (Sun's Temple) and "Huaca de la Luna" (Moon's Temple).
After lunch, we will have a guided visit to the Chan Chan Arqueological site, which is known as the Capital of the Chimu Kingdom. This city was made of mud, considered the biggest city built in mud in the world. It occupies an area of 5.79 square/miles and includes palaces, temples, squares, ponds, gardens, aqueducts, and labyrinths. Its walls are decorated with beautiful and stylized carved drawings of fishes, pelicans, geometric figures, foxes, etc.
Overnight in Trujillo.
DAY 3: Back to Lima
After breakfast, we will take you to the airport and flight back to Lima. Many will head home that same day as our program will officially be over. However, for those wish to extend, our reservations staff will be pleased to offer assistance in organizing any side-trip or additional tours.
